Biography and Credentials

Dr. David is a Clinical Psychologist licensed in the states of Virginia and California. With more than three decades of experience, Dr. David has worked with thousands of people with a wide variety of issues and problems. Clients have included all ages: children, adolescents, adults, older adults and also many cultural groups. She is equally experienced in the modalities of individual psychotherapy, couple's counseling and family therapy.

Dr. David graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. She received her Master's degree in 1970 and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1972.

For the past 15 years, Dr. David has maintained a private practice in Northern Virginia. Prior to relocating to Virginia, she maintained a private practice in Northern California for 8 years. She has worked as a staff psychologist at Solano County Mental Health and Kaiser Permanente Medical Group both in California.

Over the years, Dr. David has worked with numerous agencies and as a consultant and trainer. She worked with the Northern California Criminal Justice Training and Education System in Alameda, Sacramento, Sonoma, Solano and Contra Costa Counties training probation officers, police officers and other human service personnel in the areas of crisis intervention, family therapy and anger management. She taught basic techniques of family counseling at the University of California Extension in Berkeley, California.
